We would like to extend a big "Thank You!" to all of those who participated in our Gleaners Food Drive!
Especially given the shorter time frame, you truly did exceed our expectations and helped us make the most out of our contribution to the less fortunate.
As you all know, this had a bit of friendly competition (to make it interesting), and the store that collected the most will win a free lunch, on the day of their choice. Furthermore, the agency that collected the most will also receive a free lunch, on the day of their choice.
If an agency of yours won, it is the store manager's responsibility to pick a place to order lunch and to inform the agency that they have won. Also, ask the agency the date and time that they would like lunch and inform Cindy Bliemaster so that she can order this accordingly.
The list of stores is in order from most collected to least collected:
1st place- Novi (194)
2nd place- New Baltimore (183)
3rd place- Great Lakes Claims (179)
Southfield (153)
Clinton ( 150)
Waterford (138)
Corporate ( 136)
Eastepointe (106)
Lansing- Holt (66- donated to Greater Lansing Food Bank)
Troy (63)
Livonia (60)
Berkley (20)
Auburn Hills (19)
Southgate (12)
Shelby (12)
Commerce ( food collected but no numbers sent)
Canton (food collected but no numbers sent)
Fraser (food collected but no numbers sent)
Honorable Mention to Flint who had 2 full boxes but we received no numbers. Eric Pike had a customer that had a Christmas party for all his employees and had them bring food for the homeless to the party instead of exchanging gifts. He saw Eric's reader board sign that said "food bank drop off". He pulled in Eric's store and dropped off over 110 pounds of food, which Eric estimated to be two full boxes. Great job Eric for putting the message on your reader board!!!!
We apologize in advance if we missed any store and totals. If your store was not listed, it would have been because we did not receive your numbers or you did not collect any food.
The winning agents were:
1st place- Rotary Richmond: New Baltimore (70)
2nd place- Donzalski Cimmataro: Eastpointe (68)
3rd place- Don Gooley: Eastepointe (53)
Remember, Corporate is only providing lunch for first place winners, but of course you are welcome to treat your store/ agency for all their hard work!
Also, those of you who received receipts from Gleaners, please send them in your mailbags, or fax them to Cindy.
Again, thank you all so much for all of your hard work in making this drive a success!
Please keep in mind any suggestions for next year!
Hi everyone,
